During my business trips to Europe, my main work involves attending Pitti UOMO and visiting manufacturers,
but I always pay attention to the stylish attire of the well-dressed gentlemen I encounter along the way.
I’ve noticed many men in Italy and France now adopting an American-inspired style.
Many are wearing suits or jackets with jungle fatigues or M-65s as half-coats.
I think there’s a general increase in American traditional style.
But they’re very skilled at putting it together.
I’m always learning from their color combinations and sizing.
I’ve also noticed many men skillfully incorporating vests into their outfits.
There are brands in Italy that evoke an American feel,
and Chesapeakes, which I’m introducing today, excels at color, sizing, and processing compared to authentic American brands.

This brown color is one of the things that attracted me to it.
Italy is really good at producing this kind of color.
It’s not too dark, but it’s darker than Carhartt’s brown duck, and it’s a truly unique color.
Also, the calculated processing is excellent.
It gives off the feeling of having been worn for many years.
Since the material is cotton linen, layering it over a T-shirt in the middle of summer will easily create a mature mood!
