ヴィンテージラストのTOP-SIDER買わない手は無いって感じですね！

今週の火曜日も急遽、林さんの事務所でミーティングを行う事になりまして、

This Tuesday, too, it was decided on short notice that we would hold a meeting at Mr. Hayashi’s office.

林さんも喜ぶかなと思いましてトップサイダーとMORZINEのサンプルを持参させて頂きました！

I thought Mr. Hayashi might be pleased, so I brought along some samples from Top-Sider and MORZINE!

林さんからも、

Mr. Hayashi even remarked,

“These turned out great!”

“I’ll take both the white and the navy!”

With that, we are officially opening up pre-orders for these TOP-SIDERs, crafted on the vintage last!

こちらがサンプルになります。

お色はホワイトとネイビーになります。

どちらも定番中の定番ですから実店舗に来店されます方は必ずと言ってよい程、

（2色共予約お願いします！）と。

お値段も13500円とお財布にもお優しいので大人買いされる方も多いのかと。

まあ、ボーイズマーケット別注DIEMMEからすればかなりお買い得ですしね。

DIEMMEは、そりゃインソールまでカーフを使用するなどかなり手間暇も掛かって製作しておりますので

お値段に値するかと思います。

今回のトップサイダーは、コットンキャンバス素材になります。

其れも70年代のヴィンテージ物みたいにキャンバス素材も柔らかくてとても履き易いですよ。

今物のトップサイダーの素材とは全く違います。

ヴィンテージ物をご存知の方ならご理解して頂けるかと。

Here are the samples.

They come in white and navy.

Since both are absolute classics, almost everyone who visits our physical store ends up saying, “Please put me down for both colors!”

At 13,500 yen, they’re quite wallet-friendly, which is likely why so many people choose to buy both.

Considering this is a bespoke model for Boys Market, it’s an exceptional value.

DIEMME puts a great deal of time and effort into their craftsmanship—they even use calfskin for the insoles—so they are well worth the price.

This particular “Top-Sider” style is made from cotton canvas.

The canvas itself is soft—reminiscent of 1970s vintage pieces—making them incredibly comfortable to wear.

It’s completely different from the materials used in modern-day Top-Siders.

If you’re familiar with vintage items, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

向かって左が、僕の所有しておりますヴィンテージのトップサイダーになります。

同じ年代のラストを復刻して作られております。

On the left is a pair of vintage Top-Siders that I own.

They have been recreated using a last from the same era.

こんな感じに内側に振られましたラストになります。

即ちターンニングフットですね。

足の土踏まず部分が今のラストとは違いまして細くなっております。

This is the last—the shoe form—which, as you can see, is shaped to angle inward.

In other words, it is a “turning foot” (inward-curving) last.

Unlike the lasts used today, the arch area here is designed to be narrower.

それから、こんな感じで爪先部分が細くなっておりますね。

70年代はキャンバス素材も柔らかかったので水洗いを為されますとノーズが上がる訳なんです。

通称バナナシェイプと呼ばれております。

Also, like this, the tip of the toe is tapered.

In the 1970s, the canvas material was soft, so the nose would rise when washed.

It is commonly known as banana shape.

爪先部分が少し反っているのが分かって頂けますでしょうか？

Can you see that the toe area is slightly curved upward?

向かって右がヴィンテージ物です。

キュッと細くなった爪先部分も良く出来ているでしょう！

The one on the right is a vintage piece.

Notice how well-crafted the sharply tapered toe section is!

インソールのロゴからお色までと細かい部分まで復刻されました一足になります。

This pair has been faithfully recreated, down to the finest details—from the logo on the insole to the color.

此のヴィンテージのトップサイダーのヒールパッチはカモメ部分が消えてしまっておりますが、

The seagull design on the heel patch of these vintage Top-Sider shoes has faded,

本来は、

此のカモメが飛んだ！のヒールパッチとなります。

見た目から履き入れまで大変上手に復刻されました一足！

装いも、

Technically speaking,

this features the “seagull” (kamome) heel patch.

It is a remarkably well-executed reproduction—from its visual appearance to the way it fits on the foot!

As for the overall look,

These would pair very well with items such as the Bermuda shorts in summer tropical fabric that we had custom-made by Erico Formicola in Naples.

ヨーロッパな目線のアメトラスタイルにはバッチリハマる一足かと。

Pairing these with items like the chambray shirt—also a bespoke piece from Erico Formicola—or D.C.White’s “Dover” trousers would look fantastic on you.

They are a perfect fit for an “American Traditional” style viewed through a European lens.
