先日はホワイトのダンガリー素材をご紹介させて頂きましたので、本日はオックスフォードのサックスブルー！

最早、定番中の定番ですね。

0011 ナポレオンソロが白シャツとすれば相棒のイリヤクリヤキンがサックスブルーって感じでしょうか！

僕世代の方にしか分かりませんよね。

幼い頃、TVに齧り付いて見ておりました。

その頃は、大きくなったら秘密諜報部員になる！と思い込んでおりましたね。

映画は007（ショーンコネリーです）でTVは、0011ナポレオンソロとスパイ物一辺倒な幼少期でした。

小学校に上がった際は、祖父にねだりましてモデルガン（ワルサーP 38＆ワルサーPPK）を購入しまして

学校に持ち込み休み時間は、友達とスパイごっこに明け暮れておりました。

モデルガンを流行らせた後は、模型でレーシングカーを組み立てまして、其の当時親父が徳島で初めての

ボウリング場をオープンさせまして、其の下の階でサーキットを作っておりましたので学校の帰りには

必ず其のサーキット場でレースカーを走らせるのが日課でした。

すみません！又話が脱線状態に、思い出しておりますと筆が勝手に進みました。

お話は戻しまして、そんなイリヤクリヤキンみたいなサックスブルーのオックスフォードシャツのご紹介に

移らさせて頂きます。

Following up on the white dungaree shirt I introduced the other day, today I’m showcasing an Oxford shirt in a lovely sax blue!

It’s an absolute classic—a true staple.

If the white shirt is like Napoleon Solo from The Man from U.N.C.L.E., then this sax blue one is like his partner, Illya Kuryakin!

I suppose only those of my generation would get that reference, wouldn’t they?

Back when I was a kid, I used to be glued to the TV watching that show.

At the time, I was convinced that when I grew up, I’d become a secret agent!

My childhood was entirely consumed by spy stories—007 (starring Sean Connery) on the big screen and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. on television.

When I started elementary school, I begged my grandfather to buy me some model guns—a Walther P38 and a Walther PPK.

I’d even bring them to school and spend my recesses playing spy games with my friends.

After the model gun craze, I moved on to building model race cars. My father opened the first bowling alley in Tokushima, and he set up a race track on the floor below it. It became my daily routine to stop by that track and race my cars on my way home from school.

Apologies! I’ve gone off on a tangent again—my pen just kept moving as the memories came flooding back.

Anyway, let’s get back on track and take a look at this sax blue Oxford shirt—the kind that would suit Illya Kuryakin perfectly!

僕自身も白シャツと同じくらいの枚数を所有しておりますサックスブルーのオックスフォードシャツ！

何かと使用頻度も高いですよね。

お仕事にも勿論お使い頂けますし、オックスフォードの生地の特性上、カジュアルな装いにもすんなりお似合い

になりますしね。

I personally own just as many sax-blue Oxford shirts as I do white ones!

They’re incredibly versatile, aren’t they?

You can certainly wear them for work, and thanks to the nature of the Oxford fabric, they also fit perfectly into more casual outfits.

チラリとしか見えませんが、ジーパンとの相性は白シャツ以上かと！

ブルーのグラデーションになるからかもしれませんね。

野暮な胸ポケットは排除しまして6ボタンでのお仕立てになります。

You can only see a glimpse of it, but I think it goes even better with jeans than a white shirt!

Perhaps it’s because of the blue gradient.

The clunky chest pocket has been eliminated, and it’s tailored with six buttons.

デッドストックのAlbiniiのオックスフォードを使用しております。

頑強なオックスフォードの中にもどこか艶なムードも漂わせてくれるのは素材のせいかもしれませんね。

This piece is crafted using deadstock Albini Oxford fabric.

Perhaps it is the material itself that lends a certain alluring, sophisticated quality to this otherwise rugged Oxford cloth.

お襟はスーパーソフトの芯を採用しておりますのでご覧の通りに綺麗なお襟のロール感も実現してくれておりますね

We use a super-soft interlining for the collar, which, as you can see, creates a beautiful, elegant roll.

こちらの芯は水通しされますと、フラシ芯の様な雰囲気になりますので、此の様なロール感を表現してくれます。

製品完成後に水洗い加工も施しておりますのでお手元に届きますと、そのまま着用して頂きましても自然な雰囲気

で着用して頂けますね。

勿論、お襟のボタンは外されてご家庭の洗濯機で丸洗いも大丈夫ですね。

The interlining used here takes on a quality similar to a “floating” (unfused) interlining when exposed to water, which creates this soft, rolled appearance.

Since the finished garment undergoes a water-wash treatment, it will have a natural, relaxed look the moment it reaches you—ready to wear right away.

And, of course, you can simply unbutton the collar and toss the garment into your home washing machine for a full wash.

オーダーのドレス工場ならではのギミックとして、お襟の第一ボタンは職人さんの手に依る根巻きが施されています

要するにボタンが掛けやすい配慮がなされていると言う事なんです。

As a special detail typical of a workshop specializing in custom-made garments, the top button on the collar features a “shank wrap”—a technique executed by hand by skilled artisans.

In short, this is a thoughtful touch designed to make the button easier to fasten.

お袖口のカフスのボタンも同様な根巻きが為されております。

The buttons on the sleeve cuffs are also attached using this same “shank-wrapping” technique.

見せかけのガゼットじゃなくて、必要不可欠でガゼットを装着しております。

何故なら最近のシャツは裾を一気に巻くのですが、こちらの工場では前身頃と後身頃を別々に巻きぬいしまして

最後に脇を縫い上げますので、脇裾が断ち切りになるのを防ぐ為なんです。

This is not a decorative, faux gusset; it is a functional, essential component.

While many modern shirts have their hems stitched in a single, continuous pass, the factory that produces these shirts stitches the front and back panels separately.

The side seams are then sewn together at the final stage; the gusset is included to ensure that the raw edges at the side hems are not left exposed.

脇縫いも二度手間な折り伏せ縫いの採用により頑丈に仕立てられておりますね。

それも、此の細幅で！

The side seams are constructed using a “felled seam” technique—a labor-intensive, two-step process—which ensures exceptional durability.

And all this, despite the narrow width!

It’s not as formal as custom ordering, and it’s a custom order that allows you to get a perfect fit for your individual body shape.

There may be many people who are worried about the length of their sleeves or the length of their garments and have them altered.

ISSUE will solve all these problems at once.

We will ask you to wear a size sample, and we will customize the sleeve length, dress length, and waist circumference to your liking.

In the boys’ market, we have omitted all secondary materials.We use stretch fabric made in Spain that matches the characteristics of this jacket.

I suggested corduroy!

A saxophone blue oxford BD shirt would look great.

It will ripen as if it were featured in a TAKE IVY photo book, but the year is 2026, not the 60s.

The atmosphere remains the same, but the materials, patterns, and stitching are more three-dimensional than at the time, and the comfort is much improved.

I think it has been done.

I guess Ivy fashion will continue to change over time.

其の当時もフランネルのスラックスを穿いておられたと思うのですが、現代ではINCOTEXみたいにかなり

立体的な物作りを行なっておりましてシルエットはそのままに穿き心地は全く別物になっていると思いますね。

当時もTOP-SIDERは主流だったと思われますが、現在ではイタリアのDIEMMEみたいにソール交換なども

行えまして内張に贅沢なカーフを使用しましてとスニーカーの顔を持った革靴と変貌しておりますね。

大人が楽しめるヨーロッパ目線のアイビースタイルかと！

I believe flannel trousers were worn back then as well; however, today’s versions—like those from INCOTEX—are crafted with a much more three-dimensional approach. While the silhouette remains the same, the comfort level is in an entirely different league.

Top-Siders were likely a staple back then, too, but today, brands like the Italian label DIEMME have evolved the concept—offering features like replaceable soles and luxurious calfskin linings. In essence, they have transformed into leather shoes that happen to have the look of sneakers.

It’s an Ivy-inspired style viewed through a European lens—perfect for the mature gentleman to enjoy!
