白シャツも好きなのですが、僕が最も好むシャツはサックスカラー！
僕的にですが、白シャツよりコーディネイトの幅が広い様な気がするのです。
ホワイトの方が無彩色で無限大の装いが出来そうに思うのですが、いざ着熟しに入りますと
サックスカラーの方が色々な装いが浮かぶのです。
これは好みの問題かもしれませんが。
断然白シャツの方が着回しが効くとおっしゃる方も多いかと思います。
ですから僕がサックスカラーのシャツが好きなだけかもしれませんね。
I like white shirts, but my favorite is a sax-colored shirt!
Personally, I feel like sax-colored shirts can be coordinated with a wider variety of outfits than white shirts.
White is achromatic, so I think it can be styled in an infinite number of ways, but when I start to wear it,
sax-colored shirts allow me to come up with a variety of different looks.
This may be a matter of personal preference, but I’m sure many people would say that white shirts are by far more versatile.
So maybe I just like sax-colored shirts.
今日はそんな僕の大好物サックスカラーのBDシャツのご紹介です！
作って頂きましたのはナポリのシャツ専業メーカーBARBAになります。
（今ではジャケットやネクタイなども手掛けておりますが、やはりBARBAはシャツですよね）
展示会の際にも社長のバルバさんから色々な蘊蓄をお聞きしました。
そして、
Today, I’d like to introduce my favorite sax-colored BD shirt!
It was made by BARBA, a Naples-based shirt manufacturer.
(Although they now also make jackets and ties, BARBA is known for their shirts.)
I also spoke to President Barba about his extensive knowledge of the company at the exhibition.

素材もオールシーズン物ではなくシーズン物の
Here is the full picture.
The material is not all-season, but seasonal.
毛羽も立っており綾女が効きました
The fuzz was also standing up, so Ayame was effective.
100％コットンで表面に起毛感を漂わせましたフランネル素材になります。
やはり洋服はシーズン物がカッコイイですよね。
日本には四季が有りまして其の四季折々に洋装を楽しまれるのが粋ってもんじゃないでしょうか！
It’s made of 100% cotton flannel with a brushed surface.
After all, seasonal clothes are the coolest, aren’t they?
Japan has four seasons, and it’s very stylish to enjoy Western clothing in each season!
さて其の全貌は、こちらになります。
Well, here’s the whole story.
着用致しますと至ってシンプルなBDシャツになりますが、ナポリの血が色々な箇所にギミックとして
盛り込まれました一枚になります。
When worn, it appears as a very simple BD shirt, but it is a piece that incorporates the blood of Naples as a gimmick in various places.
先ずはBDシャツの命とも言われますお襟のロール感なども、ご覧の通りに第一ボタンを開いて頂きますと、
First of all, the roll of the collar, which is said to be the lifeblood of a BD shirt, can be seen by opening the first button as shown in the picture.
此の様に少しロングポイントのお襟が綺麗にロールしてくれますね。
其れから何と言いましても、ナポリのシャツの特徴は、
The slightly long collar rolls up nicely like this.
The most distinctive feature of Naples shirts is,
此のお袖付けになりますね。
This is the sleeve attachment.
お袖付け部分を裏から拝見させて頂きますと、肩部分にイセ込みを取りました手縫いのお仕事となります。
If you look at the sleeve attachment from the back, you can see that it has been hand-sewn with the shoulders removed.
ナポリの熟練の職人さんの手仕事に依りますお袖付けはストレス感の無いスムーズな着心地を実現してくれます。
ナポリではシャツは第二の皮膚と呼ばれるだけありますね。

The sleeves are handcrafted by skilled artisans in Naples, ensuring a smooth, stress-free fit.
In Naples, shirts are truly called a second skin.

此の様にお袖と身頃を一気に縫い上げるのではなく、お袖自身を前に捻って付けているのです。
Instead of sewing the sleeves and body together in one go like this, the sleeves themselves are twisted forward and attached.
腕を上げますと、よく分かって頂けると思います。
腕の動作がスムーズに行えると言うギミックになります。
You’ll understand this better if you raise your arm.
This gimmick allows your arm to move smoothly.
こちらの脇裾のガゼットも必要不可欠なものなんです。
前身頃と後ろ身頃を別々に縫製しまして最後に脇を縫いますから、此の脇裾部分が断ち切れとなるので
The gusset at the side hem is also essential.
The front and back body are sewn separately and the sides are sewn last, so this side hem will be cut off.
此の様に手縫いでガゼットを付けている訳なんです。
This is how the gusset is attached by hand sewing.
其れから此の4mm厚のボタンも職人さんの手仕事で縫い付けているのです。
此の縫い方が鳥の足に似ている事からチキンフットとも呼ばれております。
These 4mm thick buttons are also sewn on by hand by artisans.
This stitching method is also called chicken foot because it resembles a bird’s foot.
手縫いで足がある為ボタンの掛け外しも容易に行えると言う訳なんですね。
Because it is hand-sewn and has feet, it is easy to fasten and unfasten buttons.
裏を見れば手縫いの証がきっちりご理解して頂けると思います。
If you look at the back, you will clearly see that it is hand-sewn.

此のセンターボックスプリーツはかなり珍しいと思います。
I think this center box pleat is quite rare.
僕がバルバさんに頼みまして此の仕様も実現して頂きました！
其れから通常のBARBAのシャツは背ダーツがある物が多いのですが、ダーツも排除しまして
バックスタイルなどは、アメトラなムードも漂わせておりますね。
ナポリの血が流れましたアメトラシャツって表現が正しいかと思いますね。
装いもカジュアルからジャケットやスーツスタイルまでオンオフ兼用でお楽しみ頂けるのも嬉しい限り！
I asked Barba to make this happen, and they did!
Also, while many regular BARBA shirts have darts in the back, these have been removed.
The back style has an American traditional feel to it.
I think it’s fair to say this is an American traditional shirt with Neapolitan blood running through it.
It’s also great that it can be worn both on and off the job, from casual to jacket and suit styles!
