着熟しはシンプルにが合言葉の太ボーダーは如何でしょう！

(勿論、生地から編み立てますよ！)
と有るカットソーメーカーの方とのミーティング内容になります。
以前から太ボーダーのロングスリーブT-SHを僕自身が欲しかったので
ミーティングの最中に持ち掛けてみたのです。
そうすると快く其れも生地から織り上げてくれると言う事で、
(Can you make thick stripes?)
(Of course, we can knit them from scratch!)
This was the subject of a meeting with a certain cut-and-sew manufacturer.
I had been wanting a thick striped long-sleeve T-shirt for a while,
so I brought it up during the meeting.
They were happy to agree to knit it from scratch, so…
欲しかったダークネイビーにケリーグリーンの太ボーダーを企画してみました！
企画は25年の春に持ち上がりまして、其の後サンプルアップなどを経まして本日に至ったと言う事です。
I came up with a plan to create the dark navy with a thick Kelly green stripe that I wanted!
The plan was first proposed in the spring of 2013, and after some sample uploads and other things, we have come to this day.
こちらが其の全貌になります！
2インチの太ボーダーになります。
糸はラフなタッチの10番手の単糸を肉厚に編み立てております。
そして敢えて度詰めすぎずにテンションも繊細に調整して編み立てた結果、編み目にはうっすらとした陰影が
生まれ奥行きのある表情を醸し出しております。
と又、大層な表現の仕方をしましたが、要するに肉厚で程よい伸縮性と柔らかい着心地を実現していると言う
事なんです。
でもカットソーで太い糸で織り上げますと、肉厚にはなりますが、硬く仕上がってしまいますし着心地からは
ほど遠くなってしまうのが通常なので、此の編み立てる際の調整がいかに難しい作業なんです。
僕の企画を実現してくれましたカットソーメーカーDEVISE FACTORYは、25年前に子供服のカットソー
ブランドとして立ち上げまして、其の後ユニセックスのカットソーブランドに進化された経緯も有りまして
テンションの掛け方や生地の目付け具合などに長けておられるのです。
何故なら成人のカットソーとは違い子供の場合、着心地や肌触りに親御さんも拘りますし、子供自身が
着心地が悪いと着なくなるからなんです。
ですから肌触りや着心地に関しては自信が有ります！と常々仰っております。
僕も色々なサンプルを拝見しましてニットの様な着心地のカットソーと云う表現が一番正確かなと
思います。
例えるなら皆様必ずお手持ちのフランスのKanellのヴィンテージリブをもっと肌触り良くした感じだと
思って下さい！

Here’s the full story!
It’s a 2-inch thick striped fabric.
The yarn used is a rough-touch 10-count single yarn, knitted thickly.
The knitting is done without being too tight, and the tension is carefully adjusted, resulting in a subtle shadow in the stitches,
creating a rich texture.
That’s a rather grand way of putting it, but what I mean is that it’s thick, with just the right amount of stretch and a soft feel.
However, when weaving a cut-and-sew garment with a thicker yarn, it becomes thick, but ends up stiff and far from comfortable, which is why adjusting the knitting process is so difficult.
DEVISE FACTORY, the cut-and-sew manufacturer that realized my project, launched its children’s cut-and-sew brand 25 years ago and has since evolved into a unisex cut-and-sew brand.
They are experts in tension control and fabric count.
This is because, unlike adult cut-and-sew items, parents care about the comfort and feel of children’s clothing, and children themselves will stop wearing it if it’s uncomfortable.
That’s why I always say, “We’re confident in the feel and comfort of our clothes!”
I’ve seen a variety of samples, and I think the most accurate way to describe it is that it feels like a knit.
To give an example, think of it as a softer version of the vintage rib knitwear you all probably own from France!

When you wear it, it fits naturally.
The size has been adjusted based on sample uploads.
I think it’s just right, not too thin and not too thick.
The size is not overly designed, so I’m sure it will become a long-lasting companion.

お襟はタフな御使用にも充分応えて頂けるバインダーネックを採用しております。
The collar is a binder neck that can withstand tough use.

お袖口のリブも敢えて短くさせて頂きました！
We also intentionally shortened the ribbing on the cuffs!
太ボーダーの場合、敢えて此のリブの長さが気分かなと思いまして、でも正解でした！
With thick stripes, I thought this rib length would suit my taste, and it was the right choice!

其れが僕達には一番大事ですよね。

It’s a thick striped pattern, so it will have plenty of presence even when worn alone, so the ripening process will be
very simple!
