レジメンタルストライプの発祥の地であるイギリスから今も尚、レジメンタルタイを
作り続けているAtkinsonsのレジメンタルタイが入荷して参りました。
Atkinsonsは1820年に創業され、当時のアイルランド共和国ダブリン市長であった
リチャードアトキンソンが自分のブティックに『アイリッシュポプリン』を織り始めたことから
始まりました。
ポプリンとお聞きしますと、シャツ生地のペラペラした感じを思い浮かべますが
このアイリッシュポプリンは縦糸にシルクを入れ横糸にウーステッドウールを使用することによって
肉厚で弾力性に優れた生地で光に当たるとシルクの上品な光沢感のある独特な生地になります。
また、肉厚で弾力もあるので一度、ネクタイを締めて頂きますとノットが緩むこともなく
綺麗なディンプルを作る事も可能です。
このアイリッシュポプリンは1837年にヴィクトリア女王にロイヤルワラントを授けられ今では
『ロイヤルアイリッシュポプリン』と呼ばれるようになり、ネクタイのタグや裏地には
ロイヤルワラントの刺繍施されております。
今回は4色展開になり、どのお色もトラッドな雰囲気が漂いクラシックなネクタイとなります。
長さも丁度いい144cmに横幅は少しワイドな9cm幅になりますが、そこまで太さも感じることがなく
締めて頂けます。
ブレザーには勿論ですが、スーツにも合わせて頂けて、カジュアルにはスウェットにシャツの組み合わせなどに
ワンポイントとしても良いですよね。

Atkinsons was founded in 1820, when Richard Atkinson, then mayor of Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, began weaving “Irish poplin” for his boutique.
When you hear the word “poplin”, you may think of a flimsy shirt fabric.
This Irish Poplin is a thick and elastic fabric made of silk in the warp and worsted wool in the weft, and when exposed to light it becomes a unique fabric with the elegant luster of silk.
The thick and elasticity of the fabric allows you to make beautiful dimples without loosening the knot once you put on the tie.
Irish poplin was granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1837 and is now called “Royal Irish Poplin”, and the tag and lining of the tie are embroidered with the Royal Warrant.
The tie is available in four colors, and each color has a classic, traditional feel to it.
It can be worn with a blazer, of course, but it can also be worn with a suit, or casually with a sweatshirt and shirt combination as a point of interest.
This Atkinsons Regimental tie is very easy to tighten, and when you tighten it tightly, it will stop perfectly.
