The spacing between the buttons is different! If you thought so, you’re right.
This is not the standard 6-button style for boys.
半袖プルオーバーシャツになります。
（プルオーバーシャツ自体、VANの造語だと思いますが）
思いっきりアメリカ臭いシャツになります。
ヨーロッパには先ず存在しないシャツだと思いますね。
（半袖シャツ自体少ないと思いますので）
映画アメリカングラフティーなどにも此のシャツを着ているシーンが多かったと思います。
60年代のアイビーリーガースにはこよなく愛されたシャツだと思います。
其れも勉学やスポーツに勤しむ学生達はファッションではなくてライフスタイルとして必要不可欠に着ていたのが
さりげなくてカッコ良かったのでTAKE IVY為る写真集も作成されたのだと思います。
実際は蛮カラな学生の装いだと思います。
何故なら彼らは、幼い頃からブルックスブラザーズに父親と通い店員から接客を受けアイビースタイルを着用して
いた訳なのでファッションと言うより日常着として定着していったのだと思います。
僕が30最頃、ボストンに毎月古着のピックに通っていた際、Newbury stのブルックスにいつも立ち寄って
おりましたが、きちんとキッズのコーナーが有りましてネイビーブレザーやグレーのフランネルのトラウザーズ
其れからタキシードまで揃っており、父親が幼い子供を連れて試着させておりましたね。
この頃からボタンダウンシャツを普通に着ているのだから、BDシャツ自体に僕達みたいに気が入らないから
自然でカッコイイのかもしれませんね。
其の当時も雨天時などはチノのショーツに白のBDシャツを羽織り其の上からパタゴニアのトレントシェルを
合羽代わりに着用して走り去っておりましたね。
ファッションと言うよりライフスタイル着と言った方が適切なのかもしれませんね。
アイビースタイルには欠かせないシャツの一つで、皆様良くご存じのハワイイのトラディッショナルブランド
レインスプーナーも、此のスタイルを取り入れておりますよね。
此の被りのボタンダウンシャツは、適度なカジュアル感を表現し易い一枚かと思いますね。

I don’t think it exists in Europe.
(There are not many short-sleeved shirts in general)
I think there were many scenes in the movie American Graffiti where people were wearing this shirt.
I think it was a shirt that was loved by Ivy Leaguers in the 1960s.
It was a casual and cool look that students who were devoted to their studies and sports wore as a lifestyle rather than a fashion item, so I think a photo book called “TAKE IVY” was created.
I think it was actually a barbaric student outfit.
Because they went to Brooks Brothers with their fathers from a young age, were served by the store clerks, and wore Ivy style clothes, I think it became established as everyday wear rather than fashion.
When I was in my 30s and used to go to Boston to pick up second-hand clothes every month, I would always stop by Brooks on Newbury St. There was a kids’ section with navy blazers, gray flannel trousers, and even tuxedos, and fathers would bring their young children to try them on. They were already wearing button-down shirts at that time, so they didn’t care for the BD shirts like we did, so maybe that’s why they looked so natural and cool. Even back then, when it rained, I would wear chino shorts with a white BD shirt and a Patagonia Torrentshell over it as a raincoat and run off. It’s probably more appropriate to call it a lifestyle rather than a fashion. It’s one of the essential shirts for the Ivy League style, and the well-known Hawaiian traditional brand Reyn Spooner also incorporates this style. I think this pullover button-down shirt is a piece that easily exudes a casual feel.
