The Wickham small is a town-use version from Billingham, a bag manufacturer that still stubbornly adheres to being made in the UK!

見るからに英国製！と思わせる風貌になります。
1973年創業のBillinghamは当初フィッシングバッグとして米国へ輸出されまして、未だカメラバッグと言えば
ハードケースの時代でしたので、カメラマンがBillinghamのバッグをカメラバッグとして使用したのをきっかけに
カメラバッグとしての地位を築いたブランドになります。
元々、創業者のご主人の趣味がカメラ撮影でして、夫人が自宅でキャンバス素材でカメラバッグを作ってあげたのが
始まりだそうです。
今では、かのLeica shopでLeicaのカメラバッグとしても展開される様になっております。

Founded in 1973, Billingham was initially exported to the US as fishing bags.
At a time when hard cases were still the norm for camera bags, photographers started using Billingham bags as camera bags.
The brand established itself as a camera bag brand.
The founder’s hobby was photography, and his wife began making canvas camera bags for him at home.
Now, Leica camera bags are also sold at the famous Leica shop.
バッグの開閉も至ってシンプルな構造になっております。
勿論、頑強なブライドルレザーを使用しております。
The bag has a very simple structure for opening and closing.
Of course, it’s made from durable bridle leather.

The corners of this lid are rounded to prevent water from accumulating in the event of a sudden downpour.
