今回はBoysでも密かに人気のある1980年代〜90年代のU.S. ARMY BDU RIPSTOP CARGO PANTSの
ご紹介です。
1980年代から全米軍で使用していたBDU CARGO PANTSになります。
BDUとは以前にもご紹介させて頂きました『Battle Dress Uniform』の略語になり米軍の戦闘服となります。
CARGO PANTSも元々は貨物船の作業服で動いてもツッパリなどが無いようにだったり
物の出し入れがし易かったりから出来た1本になり、そこにアメリカ軍が独自開発したパラシュートクロス(Rip Stop)生地を使用したのが
始まりで、腰ポケットが2つ尻ポケットが2つ腿部分に2つポケットが付いたのが6ポケットと言われるようになりました。
今回のCARGO PANTSはそのパラシュートクロス(Rip Stop)生地を使用した絶品のデットストックとなります。
Rip Stopは非常に軽く速乾性などにも優れており、破れなどに非常に強い生地になります。
ディテールも前釦はボタンフライ仕様で腿部分にはフラップが付いたマチ付きポケットで収納も高くフラップが2重構造で
物が落ちないようになっているのが特徴的です。
また、摩擦の多いヒップ部分には当て布で強化されており、タフに使用しても破れないようになっております。
裾口にはドローコードが付き裾口を絞って頂き調整も可能となります。
お色も4色展開に素材が2種類ありますが履きこんでいくうちにリップストップ生地の格子状に浮かび上がるのも
魅力の一つになります。
肝心なサイズ感ですが、股上が少し深めでワタリ幅にゆとりがありますが、裾口にかけてテーパードしており
前から見るとスッキリした感じに見えます。
カジュアルにTシャツやシャンブレーシャツに合わせて頂けますし、秋冬にはスウェットやネルシャツなどにも
合わせて頂けます。
