此の生地はインディビジュアライズドシャツの過去のアーカイブからセレクトしております。

って事は、そうなんです。

デッドストック生地になります。

素材は、ヴィエラになります。

聞きなれない方もいらっしゃらるかと思いまして少々ヴィエラ生地の詳細を！

本来は英国で生まれましたウールとコットンの混紡素材に表面に起毛を掛けました素材になります。

昨今は、扱いやすさ（家庭での洗濯が可能になります）などからコットン100％のヴィエラが主流に

なってきております。

コットンフランネルとの大きな違いは生地の肉厚さがヴィエラは薄くてそれでいて起毛感などもありますので

英国ではツィードジャケットやウールフランネルのスーツなどのインナーとして重宝される素材になります。

よく海外ドラマや映画などで英国人がハンティングされる際、ツィードジャケットなどにタッターソールの

ヴィエラシャツにウールタイなど着用される姿を見かけると思うのですが、あのシャツになります。

皆さんよくご存知のネルシャツとの違いは、肌触りも滑らかで生地自身の落ちが良いのが特徴になります。

ですからJOHN SMEDLEYのカーディガンやポロニットなどにもよくお似合いになりますね。

ブリティッシュトラディッショナルを代表する生地になります。

We selected this fabric from Individualized Shirts’ past archives.

That means—you guessed it—

it is deadstock fabric.

The material is Viyella.

Since the name might be unfamiliar to some, let me share a few details about Viyella fabric.

Originally developed in the UK, it is a blend of wool and cotton with a brushed surface.

In recent years, 100% cotton versions have become the mainstream choice due to their ease of care (such as being machine-washable at home).

The main difference from cotton flannel is the fabric weight; Viyella is thinner yet still possesses that brushed texture,

making it a prized choice in the UK for layering under tweed jackets or wool flannel suits.

You may have seen British characters in TV dramas or movies wearing a Tattersall-patterned Viyella shirt with a wool tie and tweed jacket while out hunting—this is that very type of shirt.

Unlike the standard flannel shirts everyone knows, Viyella is characterized by a smooth feel and a beautiful drape.

That makes it a perfect match for items like John Smedley cardigans or knit polo shirts.

It is a fabric that epitomizes the British traditional style.

We have omitted the chest pocket and created this as a special order with a six-button front.
