お盆が終焉しますと、夏の終わりには

Once Obon comes to an end, the close of summer is upon us.
ボーイズマーケットの定番とも言えますMIXTAのご予約の解禁となります。
先月も丁稚が、ニューメキシコの帰りにLAに立ち寄りましてMIXTAのHさんとミーティングを行なってきました。
其の際に、ピックさせて頂きました半袖スウェットを本日はご紹介させて頂きます。
先ずは軽くMIXTAのご紹介から。
LAのトーレンスにプリント工場から事務所に倉庫まで構えておりまして、
スウェット本体も米綿を使用しており、縫い糸まで特注の綿糸で作られております。
そしてプリントに関しては、デザイナー本人が未だに手刷りで行っております。
此のデジタルの時代に昔ながらの方法で為されているプリント屋さんも、もう殆ど無いのではないでしょうか！
それだけアナログで希少価値の高いブランドだと思います。
デザイナー自身が、ヴィンテージディーラーも兼ねておりますので古着に関しては専門職となりますので
作り出されますスウェットやT-SHなども最初から古着の様な柔らかい着心地それから手刷りされましたプリント
なども色の配合や加工などで古着の様なムードも漂わせておりますね。
スウェットブランドはかなりの数がございますが、ここまでアナログに拘って作られているブランドも少ないのでは
ないでしょうか。
LAのメローなそして乾いた雰囲気が漂う一枚かと思いますね。
アメリカにはプリンターと言う日本ではあまり耳慣れない職業がございまして、プリントそれも精巧で美しいのとは
違い、ムードも演出できるプリントを行うのがプリンターになります。
平たく言えば、古着と見間違える様なプリントを刷れる方の事をそう言うのです。
現地の言葉を直訳すればクールなプリントって感じですかね。
実際、ヴィンテージスウェットなどの魅力も其の経年変化された色や質感それから手刷りなので微妙にずれた
プリント具合などと思うのです。
それを熟知された方しか表現出来ない芸当だと思うのです。
これからドンドンAIの時代になりましても、此の様な職人気質なお仕事は人間でしか表現出来ないのではと。

We are now opening pre-orders for items from Mixta, a staple brand here at Boys Market.
Last month, one of our staff members stopped by Los Angeles on his way back from New Mexico to meet with Mr. H from Mixta.
Today, I’d like to introduce the short-sleeved sweatshirts we selected during that visit.
First, let me give you a brief introduction to Mixta.
Based in Torrance, LA, they maintain everything from their printing facility and offices to their warehouse in-house.
The sweatshirts themselves are made using American cotton, and even the sewing thread is custom-made from cotton.
As for the printing, the designer still handles the process by hand.
In this digital age, there are hardly any print shops left that still use such old-school methods!
That is precisely what makes it such a rare and special brand—its commitment to an analog approach.
Since the designer is also a vintage clothing dealer with professional expertise in the field,
the sweatshirts and T-shirts they create offer a soft, broken-in feel right from the start.
The hand-printed designs—along with the specific color mixing and finishing techniques—evoke the authentic atmosphere of vintage clothing.
While there are countless sweatshirt brands out there, few are as dedicated to this kind of analog craftsmanship.
These pieces truly capture the mellow, dry atmosphere of Los Angeles.
In the US, there is a profession known as a “printer”—a term not commonly heard in Japan.
Unlike someone who simply produces precise, beautiful prints, a “printer” is someone who can create prints that evoke a specific mood or vibe.
Simply put, it refers to someone capable of creating prints so authentic they could be mistaken for vintage originals.
If you were to translate the local nuance directly, it’s like saying they create “cool prints.”
After all, the appeal of vintage sweatshirts lies in the colors and textures that have aged over time,
as well as the slight misalignments and imperfections inherent in hand-printing.
Capturing that essence is a feat that can only be achieved by someone who truly understands the craft. Even as we move further into the age of AI, I believe that work requiring this kind of artisan spirit is something only a human can truly express.

It features “CALIFORNIA” in an orange flock print on the chest.
This piece reflects the designer’s personal taste and is inspired by California, where the designer actually lives.
The flock print becomes even more appealing as it ages and the edges begin to wear down!
着用しますと、こんな感じになります。
お色も定番の濃いめのネイビーが加工により少し薄れており新品時から、エエ雰囲気でお楽しみ頂けます。

人生何が起こるか分からないので楽しい事は先に！
西海岸らしい発想ですよね。
勤勉な東海岸の人からは考えられない発想だと思います。
平たく言えば楽天主義って事ですかね。
カリフォルニアっぽいでしょう！

Literally translated, it means “Life is uncertain—eat dessert first!”
Since you never know what might happen in life, you should enjoy the fun things right away!
It’s a very West Coast kind of mindset.
It’s the sort of thinking that would be unthinkable to the industrious people of the East Coast.
Put simply, I guess you could call it optimism.
It’s got that California vibe, doesn’t it?

意味合いは、（リフレッシュするとか新鮮な気持ちに！）になりLAのスラングになります。
即ち人生を良い方向に！って感じの意味合いかと！
Get Fresh with soaked print
The meaning is (to feel refreshed or fresh!) and is LA slang.
In other words, change your life for the better! I guess that’s what it means!
此の手合いのサックスカラーはジーパンは元よりカーゴパンツやベーカーパンツとも相性抜群となります。
シンプルなプリントになりますが、此のフォントのデザインが堪らない一枚ですね！
来年は、此の3モデルになります。
This particular shade of sax blue pairs perfectly not only with jeans but also with cargo pants and baker pants.
