ヴィンテージアロハに興味ある方もない方もお楽しみ頂ける一枚かと！
コットン100％のプリントですが、
It’s a 100% cotton print,
林さんが、
Mr. Hayashi…
（朱子やで！）
（朱子レーヨンや！）と教えて頂きました。
ですからレーヨン100％になります。
一年掛かりでやっと完成して参りました。
丸一年前に
（アロハを作りたいんですが。）と林さんに持ちかけますと、
（ボーイズのバンダナでやったらどや！）
（生地は何にするんや！）
（レーヨンでお願いします。）
（長袖で！）とこんな感じのミーティングを行いまして、
ファーストサンプルが出来上がりました。
林さんから、
（ドゥニームの時代のアロハよりヴィンテージにより近い朱子レーヨンで作ってみたで！）
早速着てみますと、お袖丈と着丈が短かかったので、パターン修正をしまして再度チャレンジです。
朱子レーヨンは通常のレーヨンと違いまして経糸と緯糸の交錯を最小限にし糸を浮かせました織り方になりますので
レーヨンの持つ滑らかさを極限まで引き出してシルクの様な肌触りと艶感を演出できるのです。
本来ヴィンテージのアロハは日本の着物から派生して作られており、其の後シルクや此の朱子レーヨンで作られる
様になっていったのです。
ですから本来は繊細な生地になるのでお洗濯などで縮みが出たりしておりました。
ヴィンテージ物でも身幅は広いが着丈は短い物とかも多いので。
僕達日本人にはピッタリだと思いますが。
そして朱子レーヨンの特徴としましては、
見た目は軽そうな雰囲気に見えるのですが、実は重量感もございまして着用しますと生地の落ちが良いですね。
生地が流れる感覚です。
そして通気性や接触冷感に優れておりますので日本の湿度の有る気候には向いております。
此の様な生地を一から作れましたのも、林さんのドゥニーム時代にアロハ製作に関わってくれた方達が再度
ボーイズマーケットの為に生地から製作しましてプリントまでも行なってくれたのです。
本当にヴィンテージアロハの様な質感それから重量そして着用時の生地の落ち感など再現出来ました一枚に
仕上がっております。
かなり手間の掛かります逸品になりますので再三作る事は出来ないかと思いますので、ご興味ある方は、
此の機会に是非お試しになってみて下さい！
“It’s satin-weave rayon!”
That is what I was told—specifically, “satin-weave rayon.”
So, it is made of 100% rayon.
It took a full year to finally complete.
A year ago,
I approached Mr. Hayashi, saying, “I want to make an Aloha shirt.”
He suggested, “Why not use the Boys’ bandana fabric?”
“What fabric should we use?”
“Let’s go with rayon.”
“And long sleeves!” That’s how the meeting went,
and the first sample was produced.
Mr. Hayashi told me,
“I made it using satin-weave rayon, which is closer to vintage styles than the Aloha shirts from the Denime era!”
When I tried it on immediately, the sleeve and body lengths were too short, so we adjusted the pattern and gave it another shot.
Unlike standard rayon, satin-weave rayon is created using a weaving method that minimizes the intersection of warp and weft threads, allowing the threads to float on the surface.
This maximizes the inherent smoothness of rayon, creating a texture and sheen that rivals silk.
Originally, vintage Aloha shirts evolved from Japanese kimono designs,
and later came to be made from materials like silk and this satin-weave rayon.
Because the fabric is delicate by nature, shrinkage during washing was a common issue.
Many vintage pieces also feature a wide body but a short length.
I think that fit is perfect for us Japanese people.
As for the characteristics of satin-weave rayon,
it looks lightweight, but it actually has a substantial feel and drapes beautifully when worn.
It has a fluid, flowing quality.
It also offers excellent breathability and a cool-to-the-touch feel, making it ideal for Japan’s humid climate.
We were able to create this fabric from scratch because the same people who worked on Aloha shirt production during Mr. Hayashi’s Denime days
stepped up again for Boys’ Market, handling everything from the fabric production to the printing.
The result is a shirt that truly reproduces the texture, weight, and drape of a vintage Aloha shirt. As this is a truly exceptional piece that requires a great deal of time and effort to create—making it unlikely that it can be produced repeatedly—
I encourage anyone interested to take this opportunity to try it out!

左右のパネルを合わせた縫製を行なっております。と云うことは贅沢な裁断を行なっているのです。
We sew the left and right panels together, which means we employ a lavish cutting process.
ですから着用されますとバンダナ柄ですが、妙にしっくりくると思いませんか！
通常バンダナ柄のシャツの場合、総柄になりますので無作為に裁断する事が多いかと思いますが、ここにも一手間
掛かっているのです。
So, when you put it on, you’ll find that the bandana pattern feels surprisingly right—don’t you think?
With typical bandana-print shirts, the fabric is often cut haphazardly since it features an all-over pattern; here, however, they’ve put in that extra bit of care.
お襟もヴィンテージアロハと同様のロングポイントの袋縫を採用しております。
縫製にも手間の掛かる事を行なっているのです。
For the collar, we have employed the same long-point, bag-stitched construction found on vintage Aloha shirts.
It is a detail that requires a labor-intensive sewing process.
丸でヴィンテージアロハの様なお襟の雰囲気も再現されております。
それからボタンも厚みのしっかり有る白蝶貝になります。
天然物なので一つ一つ表情を演出してくれております。
The collar captures the authentic look and feel of a vintage Aloha shirt.
The buttons are made of substantial white mother-of-pearl.
As they are a natural material, each one possesses its own unique character.
胸ポケットは両胸にパッチポケットを再現しております。
It features patch pockets reproduced on both sides of the chest.
柄に柄のポケット布ですので分かりにくいかと思いますが。
此の時代のアロハシャツにはパッチ＆フラップとパッチのみの胸ポケットのデザインが有るのですが、
僕の持参しましたアロハシャツがパッチポケットでしたので其の意匠デザインを再現させて頂きました。
Since the pocket fabric features a pattern that matches the body, it might be a bit hard to spot at first glance.
Aloha shirts from this era featured two types of chest pocket designs: patch pockets with flaps and simple patch pockets.
The shirt I brought along had patch pockets, so I replicated that specific design.
脇裾にはサイドスリットを装備しております。
It features side slits at the hem.
此の時代のアロハの意匠デザインになります。
This is an Aloha shirt design from that era.
お袖口のカフスのボタンもWボタンとヴィンテージ同様の意匠デザインを盛り込みました。
We have incorporated design details faithful to vintage styles, such as the double-button cuffs.
バックスタイルも贅沢な裁断を行なっております。
バンダナ4枚分の背中になります。
The back features a luxurious cut.
The back panel is crafted from the equivalent of four bandanas.
そして当然長袖になります。
何故か？
当時長袖のアロハシャツは正装着として扱われており、結婚式やhawaiiの色々な儀式などへの参列は長袖のアロハ
を着用されていたそうです。
他にも僕が長袖アロハが好きって事もありますね。
半袖アロハより長袖アロハの方が着用時にクールだと思うのです。
And naturally, it’s long-sleeved.
Why is that?
Back then, long-sleeved Aloha shirts were treated as formal wear; apparently, people wore them when attending weddings and various ceremonies in Hawaii.
There’s also the simple fact that I just like long-sleeved Aloha shirts.
I feel that long-sleeved versions look cooler when worn than the short-sleeved ones.
特に夏場の半パンスタイルなどではトップスは長袖に為された方がカッコイイと思いますね。
半パンに半袖はアメリカ人になりますので。
やはりヨーロッパの御仁達は半パン姿には長袖物を着用される方が多いので。
全て計算だと思います。
其の計算をいかにも全く気を使わずに着用されている雰囲気がクールだと思うのです。
洋服の着熟しは全て計算の基で成り立っていると思うのです。
ですが、其の計算を第三者には分からない様に振る舞うのが自然でカッコイイと思いますので。
ですから新品の洋服自体を、着る迄に馴染ませるとかも計算だと思います。
ですから林さんとの別注物に関してはウール物を除いて全ての製品を製品洗いしております。
此のアロハ同様に製品洗いを行っております。
特殊な朱子レーヨンを敢えて使用しておりますので製品洗い後の縮率に多少の個体差も出ていると
思いますが、其れもヴィンテージに限りなく近い素材での演出になりますので味と思って楽しんで下さい！
長袖アロハの特徴はオールシーズン使用して頂けるのです。
春には、
Especially with summer shorts styles, I think it looks cooler to wear long sleeves with your top.
Wearing short sleeves with shorts is an American style.
Europeans, on the other hand, tend to wear long sleeves with shorts.
It’s all calculated, I think.
I think it’s cool when someone wears something calculated but seems completely effortless.
I believe that the way you wear clothes is all based on calculation.
However, I think it’s natural and cool to behave in a way that makes it seem like you’re not calculating to others.
Therefore, I think even breaking in new clothes before wearing them is part of the calculation.
That’s why, regarding the custom-made items with Mr. Hayashi, all products except for the wool items are garment-washed.
This Aloha shirt is also garment-washed.
Because we intentionally use a special satin rayon, there may be some individual differences in shrinkage after product washing.
However, this is part of the vintage-like texture, so please enjoy it as part of its charm!
The long-sleeved Aloha shirt can be worn all year round.
In spring,
