I got a message from Mr. Hayashi saying, “That hits the spot! Next up is the white one.”

展示会へ！

Off to the exhibition!

林さんから色々と蘊蓄など伝授頂きまして、僕もオフホワイト好きなので早速穿いてみる事に！

Mr. Hayashi shared a wealth of knowledge with me, and since I’m a fan of Off-White myself, I decided to try a pair on right away!

生地は林さんが一から作りましたバックサテンになります。

林さんの手持ちの60年代のベーカーパンツを参考にされたそうで、織ムラのきつい生地になります。

The fabric is a back-satin material that Mr. Hayashi developed from scratch.

He reportedly modeled it after a pair of 1960s Baker pants he owns, resulting in a fabric with pronounced, irregular weave texture.

お色がオフホワイトになりますので、本当にコーディネィトもし易く使い回しの良いパンツですね。

どんな色のトップスにもすんなり似合ってくれますね。

今日着ているネイビーのGRANSASSOの半袖ニットなどにもすんなり似合いますよね。

Since the color is off-white, these trousers are incredibly versatile and easy to style.

They pair effortlessly with tops of any color.

They would go perfectly with the navy Gran Sasso short-sleeved knit you’re wearing today, for instance.

本物のヴィンテージよりヒップ周りなどは日本人の体型に似合う様にパターン修正が行われているそうです。

ですから、ヴィンテージみたいなヒップ周りのもたつき感はありませんね。

スッキリとしております。

Apparently, the pattern has been adjusted—specifically around the hips—to better suit the Japanese physique compared to authentic vintage pieces.

As a result, you don’t get that baggy, loose feel around the hips often found in vintage items.

It has a clean, streamlined look.

ヴィンテージ同様にボタンフライの採用となります。

Like the vintage version, it features a button fly.

ベーカーパンツなので勿論、貼り付けの此のポケットとなります。

Since these are Baker pants, they naturally feature these patch pockets.

ヒップポケットも同様にパッチ＆フラップを採用しております。

The hip pockets also feature a patch-and-flap design.

ウエストバンドが存在しない為、もしウエストが大きくなりましたらサイドアジャスターで調整してあげて下さい！

Since there is no waistband, if the waist becomes too loose, please adjust it using the side adjusters.

ヴィンテージ感溢れますサイズ表記。

The size marking exudes a vintage feel.

こう云うギミックも上手いですよね。

さて、そんな事より僕達に大事なのは着熟しですよね。

That kind of gimmick is clever, too, isn’t it?

But anyway, what really matters to us is how we wear it.

フランス本国では人気のオイルヌバックのミカエルなどコーディネィト為さるのも如何でしょう！

How about styling a pair of “Michael” shoes in oiled nubuck—a popular choice in France—with your outfit?

腿から裾に掛けてストンと落ちましたパイプドステムのシルエットになります。

It features a “piped stem” silhouette that falls straight down from the thigh to the hem.

70年代のリンガーT-SHなどにD.C.Whiteのマドラス素材のシャツジャケットなどとのコーディネィトなどで

蛮カラアイビースタイルを気取るのもお勧めですね。
