CHESAPEAKE’S Cotton Ripstop Fabric Jungle Fatigue Jacket

CHESAPEAKE’Sからベトナム戦時代に熱帯地域用の戦闘服として
作られた「U.S ARMY COMBAT TROPICAL COAT」通称「JUNGLE FATIGUE JACKET 」を
モデルにしたアウターの登場です。
JUNGLE FATIGUE JACKETは1963年から約10年間アメリカ陸軍で使用されておりました。
今回モデルとなったのは1969年〜1970年まで使用されていた『5thモデル』になり
年代によって少しずつ仕様などが異なり、こちらが最終モデルを
忠実に再現したジャングルファティーグになります。
使用している生地もミリタリーアイテムとして機能重視したコットンリップストップを
使用しておりますので強度もありながら速乾性も兼ね備え春から夏など秋にもサッと羽織るには
適している1枚に仕上がっております。
ディテールも胸と腰部分に大きなポケットが付きポケット下にはドレンホールがある仕様となります。
基本的には4thとほぼ一緒になりますが、5thは袖口の三角ガゼットが省略されており
より簡素化したモデルとなります。
サイズ感も脇下から裾にかけて少しAラインになり、そこも忠実に再現されており
大きさは現代的なサイズ感となりますので、大き過ぎずまた小さ過ぎない良い塩梅のサイズ感へと変更されております。
カジュアルにTシャツ、半袖スウェットなどと組み合わせて頂いても良いですし
JUNGLE FATIGUEをジャケットとしてシャツにネクタイなども良いですよね！
着込む程に味が出てき段々と体に馴染んでくれるCHESAPEAKE’SのJungle Fatigue Jacketになります。

It is the appearance of the outerwear modeled after “U.S. ARMY COMBAT TROPICAL COAT” a.k.a. “JUNGLE FATIGUE JACKET”
that was made as combat uniform for tropical regions in the Vietnam War era from CHESAPEAKE'S.
JUNGLE FATIGUE JACKET had been used in the U.S. Army for about 10 years since 1963.
The model this time is the “5th model” that was used from 1969 to 1970, and the specifications differ little by little depending on the year
and this is the JUNGLE FATIGUE that faithfully reproduced the last model.
The fabric used is made of cotton ripstop that emphasizes functionality as a military item
so it has both strength and quick-drying properties, making it a suitable piece to throw on quickly from spring to summer or even fall.
It has large pockets on the chest and waist, and drain holes below the pockets.
Basically, it is almost the same as the 4th, but the 5th is a simpler model with the omission of the triangular gusset at the cuffs.
The size has also been faithfully reproduced with a slight A-line from the underarms to the hem
and the size has been changed to a modern size, which is not too big or too small, but a good balance of size.
It is good to combine with T-shirts and short-sleeved sweatshirts casually
and it is also good to wear JUNGLE FATIGUE with a shirt and tie as a jacket!
