其の鷲の羽根を見つける事は、天からの贈り物として身に付けたそうです。
其のフェザーをジュエリーとして色々な部族が作っているのですが、其の中でもNAVAJO族が作り出す
フェザーが最も力強く表現されていると言われております。
本日は、其のナバホ族のアーティストクリスチャーリーの作品のご紹介になります。
ナバホでも有名なアーティストの一人になります。
Feathers hold a special place in Native American jewelry; the eagle—which soars high in the vast sky—was revered as a sacred creature, regarded as the being closest to the heavens.
Finding an eagle feather was considered a gift from the heavens, and they were worn as such.
While various tribes craft feather jewelry, the feathers created by the Navajo people are said to possess the most powerful expression.
Today, we would like to introduce a piece by the Navajo artist Chris Charley

The feathers are rendered using stamp work, creating the appearance of fluttering in the wind.
